About Our Designers

The ITRC's Multimedia Designers and Digital Media Specialists work with faculty members to create technology-enhanced or technology-based online instructional materials. Projects may require the use of images, sound, animation, video, programming, and a variety of web-based applications.

Multimedia designers and specialists also provide advice and assistance to faculty interested in integrating technology into their courses and in-person support to Western faculty and staff.

Qualifications for our Designers

  • Currently enrolled full-time in an undergraduate program at Western;
  • Experience in
    • web design;
    • the creation of online multimedia including images, sound and video;
    • the use of several operating systems and application software;
  • good problem solving skills;
  • excellent communication skills;
  • demonstrated customer service skills;
  • the ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
